Articulating Booms - Bi-Energy and Electric

Terex provides Bi-Energy and Genie DC equipment which are emission-free and provide quiet operation for the most sensitive work applications. For example, in industrial situations where the equipment needs to travel significant distances, the Genie bi-energy system combines the flexibility and benefits of a diesel powered generator utilizing a 48 Volt DC machinery.



Some of the important characteristics offered by this combination comprise out, up and over positioning capabilities for complete flexibility. In addition, the zero tail-swing provided by nearly all units, combined with the tight turning radius offers easy maneuvering through narrow aisles and standard doors.



The proportional and drive controls offer the machinery with smooth drive performance and precise boom positioning. For quiet and emission free operation suitable for sensitive settings, there is a 48V DC electric drive system. There are jib boom models on the market to function with an additional working range for particular tasks. On non-jib models, there is a self-leveling platform that rotates to either side at an angle of 90 degrees.



Articulating Booms - Diesel Engine

The Terex Genie is great for industrial applications and outdoor construction applications. This particular model provides engine-powered articulating Z booms that combine extreme lifting versatility and out, over and up positioning capabilities. The diesel engines with articulating booms provide zero tail-swing on most models and have a tight turning radius. These machines are ideal for maneuvering in confined locations. In addition, they offer grade and terrain maneuverability, supreme power and excellent torque. The diesel engines are generally quiet as well. Most models have active oscillating axle and full time drive positive drive traction system to offer great flexibility on surfaces which are rough and uneven.



The 2 or 4 wheel drive models, provide the rough terrain features and high ground clearance which make these desirable to add to any fleet. The jib boom types are available and offer extra range capabilities. On non-jib models, the self-leveling platform also rotates to 90 degrees on these models as well.
