Genie Knuckle boom lifts are powerful four wheel steering and four wheel drive capable equipment which allow work to be done efficiently, even if the terrain is rough. The ALC 1000 electronic controls are a menu-based system which enables the user to easily calibrate the machinery and its parts. System diagnostics are available in multiple languages. On the Z-80/60 model, there are dual fuel options available. The optional Deutz diesel powered engine is quiet, but turbocharged. It allows for better performance at higher altitudes. It also carries more than enough torque for better terrain- and grade-ability.
The 4-wheel drive ability and full-time positive traction adds better traction for tough terrain. The Z-135/70 only provides four-wheel steering. Optional features on this specific unit comprise crab, coordinated, rear wheel and front wheel steering to give the equipment extra agility. On the Z-80/60 the full-time active oscillating axle helps enhance wheel contact on uneven ground. All of these features truly make Genie Knuckle Boom lifts smoother and easier to utilize on irregular terrain.
Though these models are larger compared to other Genie engine-powered articulating Z-booms, they have features such as continuous 360 degree turntable rotation and telescoping jibs to provide the user with incredible range of motion and reach. The Z-boom design gives the models exceptional over and up positioning capability that varies from 8.83 meters on the Z-80/60 model to 23.01 meters on the Z-135/70 model. The XChassis expanding axle is an innovatively designed device utilized for extending and retracting axles in and out of stowed position. The width of the Z-135/70 unit equipment is just 2.46 meters if the axle is stowed. For easier transport, the Z-80/60 has fixed width axles.
