CareLift Equipment has been designing and making excellent rough terrain forklifts ever since the year 1962. Every day the company strives to deliver value and help all their consumers reach their goals as they know the bottom line is performance and reliability.
There are 2 general kinds of boom lifts. These units are articulated boom lifts and straight boom lifts. Normally, these models are powered hydraulically. Most commonly straight booms are the ideal option for tasks that require a high reach with no obstructions. The turntable on the equipment can rotate 360 degrees with an extendable boom. This extendable boom could be vertically raised to below horizontal. As the operator can steer and maneuver the vehicle whilst the boom is fully extended, it is a very versatile machinery. These models come in 2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive, as well as propane, gas or diesel configurations.
Articulated boom lifts are used for lifting loads up and over obstacles and gain access to areas that were otherwise not accessible. These lift units carry out jobs which straight telescopic booms cannot complete. These lifts are almost like the straight boom lift in the majority of aspects except in the boom's ability to articulate. There are various articulation points on the boom in order to enable it to bend in a variety of different directions allowing it to move easily around any objects in the work environment.
Some heavy-duty boom lifts come equipped with outriggers so as to maintain stability while the boom lift is completely extended. The outriggers provide the operator with some extra confidence and safety. Correct training is necessary before using boom lifts in order to ensure the operator, the jobsite and everyone working in the vicinity stays safe.
The boom lift allows for tasks needing a lot of man power to be completed in a lot less time. These equipment have really increased production and have revolutionized the material handling business.
