Dangers of Type-G lift trucks

Forklifts carry out an important role in the operations of warehouses and other businesses. These machines are capable of raising and moving immense loads from one location to another. There are numerous variations on the forklift. The primary variation is the way in which different kinds of forklifts are fueled. "LP" forklifts are the most popular type. They run on liquid propane. Type "E" forklifts have large rechargeable batteries and run on electricity. Type "D" lift trucks use diesel and type "G" utilize gasoline. While all types of forklifts, similar to any piece of heavy machine, could pose a danger, the type of forklifts that are fueled by gasoline pose the most risks.



Fire

Forklifts labelled type G could present a fire hazard. Gas forklifts are not made with the same rigorous standards. Gas leaks are the biggest cause of fire due mostly to gas leaks and also escaped gas fumes. This can result driving on extremely rough terrain and from normal wear or from mishaps. These circumstances pose a risk and can cause fire. Hence, a standard Type G forklift must never be used in conditions where elevated fire risk is deemed unacceptable. Explosion

Type G lift trucks also pose a risk of explosion, as do those which run on liquid propane and diesel.
